A new species of <i>Monvillea</i> from Argentina and the validity of the genus <i>Monvillea</i> (Cactaceae)

A new species of Monvillea (Cactaceae, Cactoideae) is described for the North border of Argentina, at the Humid East Chaco. It is highly possible this species exist also in Paraguay.
