Abstract

Paullinia rhomboidea Radlk. is cited for the first time for the flora of Paraguay. With this record the total number of species in Paullinia increases to five, and the total species of Sapindaceae to 54. A description of the species, an image of the herbarium specimen and comments on the ecology and geographic distribution of the species is presented
