On April 2, 2013, a devastating flood occurred in the city of La Plata (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and, in the following months and years, numerous cultural actions were promoted that problematized what happened. With the aim of studying the role played by artistic practices in the memory construction processes, the article analyzes a set of projects developed from 2014 to the present. In this way, in the first instance, the article recovers initiatives developed from the artistic field with the aim of contributing to the construction of a cartography of productions around the topic. Subsequently, the work addresses the experience of the visual artist Aixa Cortés' Pecados Capitales, which took place both in public space and also in an exhibition in a private space, with the purpose of studying the materialities, the languages used and the stories proposed around to the event.
