This article reports the results of inductive qualitative research of an experience of non-formal education through art, carried out in six Mexican university campuses. Through a process of artistic sensitization, which leads to making contact with emotions in the face of violence experienced and exercised in the immediate social environment, and to reflect on the possibilities to contribute individually to building peace in everyday spaces and relationships, the participants reach the conclusion that it is possible and necessary to carry out daily practices that contribute to the construction of peaceful environments and help to break the circles of violence in which psychological violence is part of the framework. The artistic and narrative experience makes possible the expression and transformation of the self, the articulation of present, past and future and the construction of bridges between the public and the private.
