This article addresses the processes of configuration of digital inequality during the Covid-19 pandemic. To this end, objective and subjective inequalities are analyzed based on the study of the experience of families from popular sectors. Using a mixed methodology, which combines quantitative and qualitative data production, the conditions of access to devices and connectivity, the acquisition of digital skills and the appropriation of digital technologies for virtual education in the most disadvantaged socioeconomic levels are reconstructed. The conclusions reflect on how social and digital inequalities are intertwined, the strategies developed by families from popular sectors to try to unknot them and suggest measures to be addressed by public policies.
