The organization of our educational system at different levels involves the implementation of linkage mechanisms in order to ensure that the transition from the secondary level to the university level does not bring inconveniences or difficulties as a consequence of marked changes, and therefore, high rates of desertion. Since 2013, the Invertebrate and Protist Biology research group has been working with teachers from different institutions in order to carry out activities that link secondary level students with the university. For this purpose, internships were carried out with students of the last years of four schools of Corrientes Capital, whose activities consisted of research work design, lab skills development and use of research methods and typical techniques used in the scientific field. As a result of these internships, the importance of this type of activities was reaffirmed in the strengthening, not only in Biology teaching, but also in the attitudinal performance of students, and, consequently, in the establishment of bonds of trust that provide greater security at the time to start college life.
