Abstract

Within the framework of reflections on Latin American thought, the aim of this article is to compare the perspectives of E. Rodó, J. Vasconcelos and R. Kusch regarding how each one interprets the legacy of the various traditions coexisting in America, and how this legacy should be integrated as the labor or task of the Latin American thinker when formulating a specifically Latin American anthropology that encompasses this legacy. By highlighting both the differences and the similarities in the authors' reflections, the article seeks to gather some of the central concepts the authors propose for thinking about a philosophical perspective of Latin America.
