Abstract

Casearia obliqua Spreng. (Flacourtiaceae) is recorded for the first time to Argentina, based onspecimens collected beside Iguazú river, in Misiones province. The taxon is here describedand illustrated. The presence of Casearia gossypiosperma Briq. in Misiones, a tree mentionedin 1936 for that province, is here documented by mean herbarium material. A key for identifyingthe argentinean species is included
