Abstract

Taxonomy of the genus Monteiroa is updated. Two new species: M. Hatschbachii and M. Reitziiare described and illustrated, raising to 10 the number of taxa. All of them live in the mountainsof southeast and southern Brazil, and only M. glomerata extends its area to Uruguay andArgentina
