Abstract

To date, 27 species from five fungi genera of Xylariales are known to grow on Ocotea porphyria “laurel del cerro”. New studies allowed to increase the knowledge of the fungi associated with this host, including here first reports of Hypoxylon cf. brevisporum and H. pulicicidum for the country. In addition, Entonaema liquescens and Xylaria pseudoapiculata are recorded, and new information is provided on the morphological characteristics of the teleomorphic phase of X. myosurus, which was possible due to the discovery of new populations.
