Abstract

The National University of the Northeast (UNNE) has forged a solid path in the institutionalization of digital and virtual education, a process dating back to Resolution N° 185/01 C.S. and the subsequent creation of the UNNE-Virtual Program. This documentary analysis reveals how this institution, committed to innovation and educational inclusion, has evolved to establish its Institutional System for Distance Education (SIED-UNNE).

The SIED-UNNE is firmly supported by a regulatory framework encompassing national and international regulations. Factors such as the university's strategic plans and the need to provide an agile response to the global pandemic significantly accelerated the virtualization of teaching. This dynamic has culminated in the adoption and implementation of hybrid (combined) models of teaching and learning.

In alignment with key organizations of the Argentine university system, such as the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU), the Secretariat of University Policies (SPU), and the National Interuniversity Council (CIN), UNNE prioritizes pedagogical reconfiguration and the extension of hybridization strategies. The central objective is to offer flexible, quality higher education adapted to the demands of the 21st century. In this way, the university reaffirms its commitment to expanding access and the democratization of knowledge, contributing to the expansion of rights in the university education sphere.
