Beyond the unfavourable living conditions, situations can be identified in the Argentine Northeast, that could account for processes that merit observation, referring to the dynamics of economic activities, which have performed above the national average.
Starting with the identification of positive dynamics, in terms of employers and employment, demographic variations are analysed, as well as the conditions for the consolidation of activities and for social reproduction, considering the complexities of services and facilities in urban agglomerates. The analysis of these dynamics is multi-scale, given that it is carried out for the Argentine Northeast with respect to the values recorded for the country as a whole, as well as particularizing in the provinces and local economic areas that make up the region. It concludes with a look at outstanding urban centres and then reflects on possible trends in the region.
