First of all, this article proposes to review a set of certain historical Urban Theory markers in order to compare them with a reciprocal set of contributions that may be able to contribute to a Dwelling Theory. Although the latter originated from reflection that is existential and architectonic in nature, its social projection in the urban environment acquires certain interest. As a corollary to these considerations, the suggestion of a possibly converging agenda between both theoretical bodies is offered.

CUADERNO URBANO ratifies the Open Access model in which the contents of scientific publications are available in full text free of charge on the Internet, without temporary embargoes, and whose editorial production costs are not transferred to the authors. This policy proposes breaking down the economic barriers that generate inequities both in access to information and in the publication of research results.
