Abstract

The present paper examines the conventional standard known as reasonable time, focusing on those cases whether the delicate situation of persons subject to trials demands a timely response from the judicial body. In order to consider and determine how to act in these situations, this publication analyzes precedent cases from the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights and the National Supreme Court of Justice, characterized by a special and diligent response facing urgent cases.
