Food links the subjects of agricultural activity with consumers and also and a backbone of public policies. It is important to describe the historical evolution of access to food, its provision the impact of public policies on the matter. Currently, the family farming sector is key in food’s production because of the role it plays in establishing roots, diversified production and short marketing channels.
