Abstract

In order to approach the present investigation, the Chuniguillay hamlet, belonging to the Jesús district, Province and Region of Cajamarca, has been considered as the object of study. While the present study was carried out based on the author’s interest in identifying and describing the factors that influence so that the fiber crafts become the main activity in the Chuniguillay hamlet, as well as knowing how this activity influences the family economy in the aforementioned hamlet, this being a descriptive study that selects a series of issues such as production, marketing, family finances, etc. To be analyzed, since the village presents a socio-economic reality where artisanal production in vegetable fiber constitutes an important activity of the first degree within its family economy followed by agriculture and livestock, in this sense it is worth mentioning that this village is purely artisanal and not agricultural-livestock, in addition to this research, a valuable contribution is being made for the development of various future investigations in the field of study.
