Abstract

This paper analyzes the work The Garden of Delights (2013) by the audiovisual filmmaker Arturo Fabiani (Chaco), a documentary that deals with the experiences in / from the gender-generic-identity diversity in our region, the Northeastern area of Argentina (also known as the NEA, in Argentina). The article analyzes the ways of telling and showing the future of these life histories that challenge the heterorule and the sociocultural framework that goes through them and is reconstructed in the work. The proposal is framed in visual studies (Mitchell 2003, Guasch 2003) and in the broad field of cultural studies as well. This is an approach that is based on the visualidad, which assumes gaze as a social practice related to seeing and showing (Mitchell, 2003).
