Abstract

In this article, we developed a first approach on the reception of the film LE BLU, directed by Guillermo Rovira and premiered in 2017 at the "Oberá en Cortos" festival, a space that promotes regional cinematographic production. This approach is part of an inquiry into the conformation of local public related to recent productions from the province of Misiones. The problem is addressed by a communicative semiotic perspective which combines analysis of the filmic text with the characterization of the spectators and the conditions of reception. The analysis allowed to identify certain narrative and aesthetic features that distance LE BLU from other local productions, on the one hand; and on the other hand, the focus on reception practices permitted us to point out certain recognition operations that, in the end, allow us to establish hypotheses of reading by the existence of local audiences for the audiovisual production of the Misiones.
