Elecciones contrahegemónicas de género: trayectorias y experiencias escolares en la formación profesional en Barcelona

Resumen

Este artículo analiza cómo el género influye en las elecciones educativas de jóvenes que cursan Formación Profesional (FP), prestando atención a las trayectorias que desafían los patrones tradicionales. Basado en un estudio cualitativo en centros de FP de Barcelona (España), se examinan las experiencias de 17 estudiantes (10 chicos y 7 chicas) en especialidades no normativas en clave de género. A partir del desarrollo de entrevistas en profundidad, se identifican diferencias significativas entre chicos y chicas en sus disposiciones escolares, motivaciones formativas y vivencias educativas, atravesadas por el origen social y las trayectorias previas. Los resultados muestran que, aunque las elecciones contrahegemónicas no siempre desafían los marcos existentes, permiten visibilizar tensiones y contradicciones en su reproducción. El estudio contribuye a comprender cómo las normas de género operan en interacción con otras condiciones sociales e institucionales durante la transición educativa postobligatoria, ofreciendo una mirada cualitativa situada sobre trayectorias educativas poco exploradas.
