Collaborative actions on urban-environmental education, in the work of the plan mar in “a sustainable school” of Mar Chiquita

The Municipality of Mar Chiquita, Bs. As in 2020 promoting a model of local sustainable development (Plan Mar) included the construction of a Sustainable School. In this framework, the FAUD was summoned by the NGO Tagma, Amartya and the Municipality to take part. The participants of the extension project contributed the academic resources for the development oftechnical communication pieces to complement the visits and informative talks for the community.The building is inspired by a prototype known as Earthship or Nave Tierra: which starts from seven premises for its design; uses a construction system that reuses waste, carries out water treatment, uses renewable energy, makes rainwater drinkable, foresees bioclimatic design, thermal conditioning and food production, becoming the 2nd school in Latin America with these characteristics. The team materialized a 1:20 scale model and 8 infographics that describe the topics to enhance their dissemination and communication.
