Abstract

This contribution aims to reflect on the ways we relate to landscape. From a perspective situated on my own experiences along the place I inhabit, acknowledging the special bond with water. Firstly, I will reflect on landscape genealogy, as a dichotomous visuality of modern construction. Secondly, I will share this categorical approach with the contributions of assemblage’s theory and social complexity. Finally, through an autoethnographic review of my visual practices archive, I will share meanings and practices that springs from past and registered experiences alongside water. As any task, it is a process that can be rewritten, but allows the exploration of one’s own, along literary and visual experience.
