Self-Archiving Policy
Folia Histórica del Nordeste is an open access journal with no fees for authors or readers (diamond open access), and it allows and promotes the self-archiving of published content as part of its commitment to the wide dissemination of scientific knowledge.
Authors may archive the post-print version of the article, understood as the final version of the manuscript accepted after the peer review process, in institutional repositories, thematic repositories, academic portals, personal websites, or other similar scientific dissemination spaces.
Self-archiving can be done immediately after publication of the article, without an embargo period.
Self-archiving or dissemination of the pre-peer-reviewed version (pre-print) or the PDF corresponding to the editorial version published by the journal is not permitted.
In all cases, the self-archived version must include a visible reference to the complete bibliographic details of the original publication, indicating the name of the journal, volume, issue, year of publication, and DOI, as well as a direct link to the official version published in Folia Histórica del Nordeste.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. Self-archiving and any reuse of the content must comply with the terms established by this license.
This license allows third parties to copy, distribute, and publicly communicate the works, as well as make adaptations for non-commercial purposes, provided that credit is given to the authors and the journal as the source of the original publication, and any modifications are indicated.
Self-archiving does not alter the copyright, which remains with the authors.
