Abstract

This work called "Approaches to the Curriculum from the inclusion of the environmental dimension in academic offerings at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste”, is part of the first results of a Research Project accredited by the General Secretariat for Science and Technology of the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste. The objective was to identify and analyze the presence or absence of the Environmental Dimension (AD) in the academic offerings of the UNNE from the analysis of the Study Plans. In this instance, a methodology of a qualitative nature, of a descriptive nature was adopted, supported by a study by Eschenhagen Durán (2009). On this occasion, a review of all degree programs was carried out, identifying only those that contemplated the inclusion of AD in the Study Plans. For this, descriptive techniques based on the review and analysis of official documents, framed in the background review and specialized bibliography, and later the systematization of information and quantitative reading of the data were used. This allowed identifying in the academic offer of the UNNE, the careers that include or address the DA and their respective curricular spaces. The progress made so far allowed us to identify the existence at UNNE of a total of 51 undergraduate degrees, with 14 undergraduate degrees (technical degrees), distributed in 12 Academic Units, of which 20 degrees are linked to DA, 17 correspond to level of degree and 3 in undergraduate. Carrying out the analysis of the seven areas also made it possible to identify the context in which the DA takes center stage when defining university education.
