Abstract

The article presents the results of a research that sought to analyze the impact of teleworking during the COVID-19 pandemic on women who had to reconcile paid online work and unpaid domestic work during the year 2020. The study was developed using an open questionnaire. in virtual format, from which 89 testimonies were obtained from women in a teleworking situation. The digital inequalities that emerged or were accentuated are discussed, as well as the emotional impact generated by the stress and anxiety associated with the pandemic. The way in which the implementation of teleworking affected family and personal organization is also highlighted. The results provided reflect different aspects of digital inequality and its impact on work and family dynamics during the pandemic, focusing on how they mainly affect women. It is concluded that the inequalities that have arisen from the pandemic highlight the need to review the usefulness that technology has for women and how these technologies can be put at their service for greater gender justice.
