Abstract

In this paper we intend to inquire about the tensions related to the preservation and conservation of heritage in Argentina, in spaces conceived within the framework of public policies associated with social tourism. We will focus the study on the Eva Perón Museum of the Chapadmalal Tourist Unit (UTCH), a vacation complex located on the sea coast of southeastern Buenos Aires, which began to be built during the first Peronist presidency. Until now, the complex has been affected by discontinuous State policies, which favoured or put at risk the state of the buildings and the continuity of their operation.
