This article examines lexicalization processes in Angaité (Enlhet-Enenlhet family), understood as processes of language change that result in new lexemes with loss of compositionality and transparency. The primary objective is descriptive, although it is also intended to provide data for a comparison with the other languages of the Enlhet-Enenlhet linguistic family and with other languages of the Gran Chaco. Observed lexicalization processes include derivation and composition. Derivation processes consist of deverbal nominalizations, derivation of nouns by means of prefixes and suffixes, and lexicalization of verb conjugation paradigms. Composition processes include possessive phrases, attributive phrases, lexicalized phrases, and univerbation.
